Seaside views big attraction

Capel View in Youghal has been upgraded in recent years, and the three-storey property has its own wine cellar, reports Trish Dromey.

BUILT as a summer residence by the seaside-loving Victorians who flocked to Youghal by train in the second half of the 19th century, Capel View has maintained its attractions for modern holiday-makers.

The attire of those who stroll the promenade across from the detached property on the East Cork resort town’s Front Strand may now be dramatically different from that time, but the views out across Youghal Bay to Capel Island are still uninterrupted — and probably haven’t changed a great deal.
