QUITRENT House, once part of the large Kingston estate in north Cork, is believed to have been built for the Catholic agents of the estate, the O’Mahony’s, who later went on to found a woollen mills at Blarney.

THE curiously-named Quitrent House was built in the Victorian period in the Georgian fashion, a trend that seems to be usual for the time.
