The UN’s highest court will deliver its judgment on Monday on Bosnia’s demand to make Serbia accountable for the slaughter, terrorising, rape and displacement of Bosnian Muslims in the early 1990s.

Three Bosnian Serbs charged with genocide, were today accused of massacring thousands of Muslims “like animals” in the UN safe area of Srebrenica during the Bosnia war.

A Bosnian-Serb army officer accused of leading troops during the Srebrenica massacre has pleaded not guilty to genocide charges at the UN War Crimes Tribunal.

NATO troops have captured a Bosnian-Serb army colonel who commanded a unit in Srebrenica during the murder of at least 8,000 Muslims in 1995.
