The widow of Detective Garda Jerry McCabe condemned the Government today for its lack of courtesy in not informing her about the release of one of her husband’s IRA killers.

The family of slaughtered Detective Garda Jerry McCabe clashed with the Dublin Government today after Irish premier Bertie Ahern warned no deal on the Northern Ireland peace process would be secured unless his IRA killers were freed.

A brother-in-law of Detective Garda Jerry McCabe has accused the Government of breaking its promise that his IRA killers would serve their full sentences.
