More than 3,000 people gathered on a Co Limerick parish hillside yesterday for the biggest re-enactment of the death of Christ ever performed in this country.

Thousands are expected to congregate in rural east Limerick tonight and tomorrow to witness a re-enactment of the trial and crucifixion of Jesus.
