A mother who said she felt like a criminal after security at Dublin Airport seized her son's THC medicinal cannabis last December has described the new legislation for access to such products as "life-changing".

A mum campaigning for access to medicinal cannabis for her little boy said she felt like a criminal as airport security stepped and searched her and seized his medication moments after she landed with it at Dublin Airport.

The mother of a toddler who suffers from intractable seizures is travelling to Barcelona next week in order to obtain the THC form of medicinal cannabis as she fears that his condition will "nosedive" at Christmas.
