Lidl has indicated that it may close one of its stores in west Dublin after it was wrecked last Friday by burglars, rather than build a larger one nearby as it had already planned.

Lads of Ireland beware.

An Irish website yesterday posted a competition on Facebook for a €40 Aldi voucher - but accidentally called them Lidl instead. Lidl’s response was social media gold.
