A serial sex offender once described by a judge as a "walking menace to every female" has had the six year prison sentence he received for sexually assaulting a young Japanese woman halved by the Court of Criminal appeal.

A serial sex offender has been jailed for six years which he is to serve consecutive to a current six-year rape sentence after he was described by Judge Frank O'Donnell as a "walking menace to every female out there" .

A serial sex offender described by gardaí as "a danger to women" and is currently serving a prison term has had his sentence for the sexual assault of a young Japanese woman adjourned at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court.
