Mayo Fine Gael Deputy Michael Ring has today criticised the Taoiseach's decision, both in calling the election on a Sunday, and fixing the date for a Thursday.

Politicians, journalists, bloggers and interested members of the public are set to gather at an event in Dublin examining what bloggers can do for politics in the next general election.
