Galway’s powerful showing in the first period of extra-time dumped the holders, Sligo, out of the Connacht Junior Championship in last night’s quarter-final at Kilcoyne Park, Tubbercurry.

A GREAT week for Kevin Walsh and Sligo got even better at Ballyhaunis last evening when he guided the Yeats County to their first Connacht JFC win since 1998.
