The Irish entertainment and media market is set to grow by 2.7% and reach more than €4.37bn in value, according to PricewaterhouseCooper’s (PwC) latest global entertainment and media outlook.

BORD BIA has launched its Food and Drink Industry Awards 2011. The awards, in association with Rabobank, will recognise excellence in export development, branding, innovation, sustainability, entrepreneurship and success on the domestic market.

OVER the next five years the entertainment andmedia sectors are set to grow by $1 billion (€720m) in Ireland to $5.6bn (€4.02bn), according to a report from PwC.

THE ongoing economic downturn and lowering consumer spending patterns will likely result in a 3.3% drop in revenue for Ireland’s entertainment and media (E&M) sector this year, says PricewaterhouseCoopers.

IRELAND is still lagging behind its European neighbours when it comes to broadband penetration, despite figures showing it in the top three as regards per-capita subscriber growth in the past year.
