A popular Swiss student was strangled to death just two days after she arrived in Ireland to learn English, a court heard today.

A man who today denied murdering a teenage Swiss student will go on trial tomorrow.

The parents of Swiss teenager Manuela Riedo have visited the scene where their daughter was killed in Galway last year.

“WE WILL look up to the sky and remember her and somehow, by doing that, it will continue the way it was.”
