Parents of Swiss teenager visit Galway death scene

The parents of Swiss teenager Manuela Riedo have visited the scene where their daughter was killed in Galway last year.

The 17-year-old English language student was found strangled to death near a walkway at Lough Atalia on October 9.

In a statement today, Hans Peter and Arlette Riedo thanked all of the people who supported them through their time of grief.

They also extended their gratitude to everyone who made their visit to Ireland possible and who attended Manuela's funeral mass in Switzerland.
