A PRICE drop of between 25% and 30% — a hugely significant €150,000 —has been applied to the last couple of big houses on Skibbereen’s posh Baltimore Road.

LAST year’s beaten finalists St. Brendan’s, Tralee CBS, Limerick Colleges and newcomers DLS Macroom are the only schools definitely through to the knock out stages of the Corn Uí Mhuirí after Christmas.

IT’S a busy weekend for the Skibbereen club. Their juniors contest the divisional football championship final this afternoon against Gabriel Rangers in Rosscarbery (4.45pm) and tomorrow the seniors travel to Drimoleague to play Dohenys in the quarter-final of the county championship.

ALL eyes yesterday were on Enniskeane, where Na Piarsaigh lined out against O’Donovan Rossa in the Evening Echo Cork SFC with three Ó Ailpín brothers in the black and amber - Teu, Aisake and All-Ireland hurling captain Seán Óg.
