AIB yesterday launched a redress scheme for 110,000 credit card customers who paid for insurance they didn’t need.

AIB is contacting around 110,000 of its customers, who are due compensation after a review of their card protection insurance policies.

ALLIED Irish Banks (AIB) has admitted that a number of its customers were wrongly charged for credit card payment protection insurance.
