I SAT in Seanad Éireann for an hour one afternoon in September last year. I didn’t become a member of the Seanad or win any elections, or anything like that.

In a broad sense, it would be healthy for our democracy if Dana Rosemary Scallon proves to be successful in seeking to be nominated to contest the forthcoming presidential election.
