The Northern Ireland Fire Service today expressed deep honour at receiving the first ever award given by the Province’s devolved Assembly.

A fire engine was rammed and then put out of action by stone-throwing children last night as the crew made their way back from dealing with a blaze in west Belfast.

The two four-year-old boys who died in a house fire in Northern Ireland today were brothers, police said.
