HUNDREDS of people from all walks of life turned up to pay their last respects yesterday to a man who was the longest serving newspaper editor in the country.

MANAGEMENT and unions at Waterford Crystal have denied a local newspaper claim that up to 500 jobs are to go at its plant in Kilbarry on the edge of Waterford city.

IRISH EXAMINER owner Thomas Crosbie Holdings (TCH) has bought The Echo Group of newspapers in Wexford.
