Students from Ireland who trashed a rented house while on a working holiday in San Francisco have been condemned by Foreign Affairs Minister Charlie Flanagan.

Local news described the students - allegedly Irish - as 'nightmare renters'.

A land lady based in San Francisco has accused a group of students, identified as Irish, of causing thousands of dollars worth of damage to her property.
