THIS summer, I’ve worn wellies more than I’ve worn sun cream, and a raincoat more than sunglasses. But the increase in light means I reach for products with SPF every day.

You’d have to pay me a lot of money to go out without sunscreen on my face. I can’t do it. I almost feel I’m going to wither vampire-like the minute a ray of sun hits. I’ve slathered on the stuff for the last 20 years and I’m not going to stop now.

THE best ingredients in beauty products can be everyday ones: olive oil is excellent for dry skin; egg whites turn a good trick in your hair (despite being gross to use); and milk’s brilliance is nothing new.
