THE Liebherr company in Killarney has claimed it is not breaching any agreement by obliging employees to take two days’ holidays during the four-day 3 Irish Open Golf Championship in the Kerry town.

PLANS for 38-metre high observation wheel for Killarney are being welcomed enthusiastically by the local tourism industry – but some local traders are claiming it could cost them business because of lost parking space.

A VIEWING tower proposed for tourist haven Killarney could detract from some protected buildings in the town, which date to the 19th century, it is feared.

AN historic building in Killarney will fall into serious disrepair if the Government doesn’t move quickly to restore it.
