Ring of Kerry needs to be ‘safer and easier’

Conor Hennigan claimed ‘third world’ roads, including the Macroom/Ballyvourney stretch, were impeding the county’s E400 million tourism industry and driving some potential customers to Spain and Portugal.

He instanced a ‘ridiculous’ situation on the 110-mile Ring of Kerry where only single line traffic could travel across two bridges, even though money had been spent on improving one of the bridges.
