A legal row between two supermarket chains over toilet roll and day cream and a price comparison campaign has ended up in the Supreme Court.

Two burrito bars were among six food businesses to be served closure orders last month, according to the Food Safety Authority of Ireland.

Four restaurants and three pubs have been hit with closure orders for breaches of food safety regulations.

One of the country’s best-known public houses — Morrisey’s in Abbeyleix, Co Laois — was one of seven food outlets served with a closure order for breaches of food safety legislation.
