Four men arrested in connection with the kidnapping of one of the country’s fastest greyhounds have been released without charge.

The trainer of champion greyhound Clares Rocket, who was dramatically found alive and well after been kidnapped and held for a ransom, broke down in tears of joy having been reunited with the dog, and declared: “It’s like winning the Derby again.”

One of the country's top greyhounds stolen in a robbery which was likened to the infamous kidnapping of champion racehorse Shergar, has been found safe and well.

In a wide-open final to the Pat Hennerty Sales Cork Oaks at Curraheen Park, Leezie Lindsay can come through late to snatch victory for Francie Murray and owner Howard Wallace.
