THE adoption of a three-year-old Indonesian boy by an Irish man and his wife, who later left him in a Jakarta orphanage, may not have been legal, Foreign Minister Dermot Ahern has conceded.

Adoption Ireland has said it is too early for Irish people to be considering adopting children orphaned by the south Asian tsunami disaster.

Adoption Ireland are calling for the immediate resignation of the Chief Justice of The Supreme Court, Mr Ronan Keane.
