The Irish Film and Academy (IFTA) held its annual award ceremony last night with a star-studded red carpet line-up.

“Brendan O’Carroll is quite simply a creative genius; his comedic style is accessible, immediate and outrageously funny,” said IFTA CEO Áine Moriarty.

The second instalment of the 2015 Irish Film and Television Awards is fast approaching, and a list of final nominees including Chris O’Dowd, Deirdre O’Kane and Brendan O’Carroll, has just been announced.
