'Welcome to the world Winnie': Bonnie Ryan announces birth of baby girl

The makeup artist and fashion content creator had previously shared her struggle to start a family

Bonnie Ryan announced the arrival of her baby girl after struggle with IVF.

Bonnie Ryan and her husband John Greenhalgh have welcomed the arrival of their first baby, Winnie.

The makeup artist and fashion content creator, who had previously shared their struggle to start a family, posted the news on Instagram on Thursday evening.

Sharing a photo of her baby girl, she simply captioned the post: “Welcome to the World Winnie. 18.5.2026.” 

The pair announced that they were expecting last year, after a two-year fertility journey. 

Ryan has previously opened up about her fertility journey online, saying it “hasn’t been easy”.

Previously sharing a video showing her IVF journey and telling her loved ones the news that she is finally pregnant, she wrote: “After a failed IVF round last year, a really tough period of processing that, then making the hard decision to do our next treatment in Ireland, travelling back and forth, missing John, but knowing we were doing it for the greater good.

At the time, she said she had never felt love like it, getting to share the news with loved ones, and said she was “excited to begin this next chapter”.

Just over a week ago, Ryan revealed that she was one centimetre dilated on the season three finale of No One Else Will Listen.

The episode captured both Bonnie and her sister and co-host Lottie at their most unfiltered as they reflected on the strange, uncomfortable and often funny realities of pregnancy and women’s health.

Ryan spoke of a recent hospital examination, joking about the surreal experience of having her doctor confirm that she was one centimetre dilated and that the countdown to her baby’s birth was officially on.

“I’m not joking you, his whole arm had to go up my vagina… your dignity is just out the window,” she said.

Her news has been met with well wishes and messages of congratulations from friends and followers.

Her sister, Lottie Ryan, commented: “Winnie & Wolf. Our little angel is finally here!” “Awh congratulations my love! She’s perfect,” Lauren Arthurs posted.

“Awwwhhh welcome Winnie. She’s just perfect. I’m so happy for you and John. Huge congrats xxx,” Louise Cooney posted.

Niamh de Brún-Reid, who welcomed a baby in December last year, also sent her congratulations to the new parents, along with Rosie Connolly Quinn and Brian Dowling Gourounlian.
