Bonnie Ryan announces pregnancy after two-year fertility journey

Bonnie Ryan says her morning routine is extremely important to her.

Bonnie Ryan is starting the year on a very high note, announcing that she is expecting her first child after a two-year fertility journey.

The makeup artist and fashion content creator and her husband, John, will welcome their little one this year after a long journey to becoming parents.

Announcing the news on Instagram over the festive period, Ryan said: “We’ve waited for this moment and finally here we are and, halfway cooked! So much love, gratitude and excitement for what’s to come. Sending love and luck to anyone on a TTC journey.”

Ryan shared her words alongside a series of lovely snaps of her cradling her baby bump.

In another post, Ryan opened up about her fertility journey, saying it “hasn’t been easy”.

She shared the caption underneath a video showing her IVF journey and telling her loved ones the news that she is finally pregnant.

“After a failed IVF round last year, a really tough period of processing that, then making the hard decision to do our next treatment in Ireland, travelling back and forth, missing John, but knowing we were doing it for the greater good,” she posted.

“This last summer, my body felt like it was completely letting me down again, virus after virus, pneumonia, exhaustion, and I truly lost trust in it for a while.

“Then, somehow, with luck and hope, that test said positive. The first months were filled with worry and felt touch and go, so we chose to keep this just ours until we were home in Ireland and could tell our families properly.

“I’ve never felt love like it, getting to share the news. They knew how much we wanted this and how much I’ve carried over the last while.

“We’re so excited to begin this next chapter.” 

Ryan said she is “still a little fragile thinking about it” and is choosing to stay in the now, but she wanted to share her story as she knows how much hope other people’s fertility journeys gave her when she needed it most.
