Dr Niamh Lynch: ‘After my own maternity leave, I knew I’d be a different doctor’

Parents can't get enough of Dr Niamh Lynch's no-nonsense, straight talking videos to help navigate children's health. Now the Cork paediatrician has turned that advice into a book.

The story began in my first anatomy class. I sat with 80 other fresh-faced medical students as our professor cast his cool gaze across the room.

“You will learn as many new words in this semester as a student learning Russian for a year,” he said.
