Laura Nolan Horgan, founder of slow fashion and interior design brand LNH EDIT, shares the defining moment in her life.
I have it saved in my phone — December 12, 2017 — the day I found out I was BRCA positive. I don’t know why I saved it, maybe it was some sort of mourning. The news was so huge, so immense, so shocking.
The reason for the test — my cousin found out she had triple-negative breast cancer. She tested positive for BRCA. Our family were all invited to be tested. For me it was a very straightforward decision — I didn’t think twice. Other family members haven’t been tested and don’t want to be.
