Things are being shaken up once again over at RTÉ Radio 1 as yet another change has been made to the Nine O'Clock Show.
Since Ryan Tubridy vacated the slot in the wake of the RTÉ pay scandal there has been endless speculation about who will succeed him.
Today, a new face entered the race as it was announced that Maura Derrane will be in the hot seat for two weeks.
The announcement was made by Oliver Callan who has been one of those temporarily filling in on the popular morning show.
For Derrane, who hosts the Today Show on RTÉ One alongside Dáithí Ó Sé, this will be her first time presenting on the radio.
After a tongue-in-cheek reference to what has been a "summer of scandal", Callan announced that Derrane would be presenting the show from next Monday.
"I am going to be unavailable for the next couple of weeks so Maura Derrane will be the presenter," Callan told listeners on Friday.
"She will be here for a fortnight. We know her well, of course, oodles of experience doing live telly but I believe this will be her first foray into live radio.
The comedian joked that listeners might be treated to a whole new side of Derrane calling it "Maura Unleashed".
Callan said that Ó Sé would be "holding the fort" on the Today Show.
Brendan Courtney and Callan will then return, separately, to continue to cover the 9am slot.
Earlier this week, Courtney said he has not had any conversations about taking over Ryan Tubridy's former slot.
The only thing I can tell you is that nobody knows... It is evolving but it doesn't involve me."
He said that he honestly does not know if he would accept the job if it was offered to him permanently.
The Keys to My Life host said he doesn't think about what-ifs and maybes when it comes to work.
"Unless somebody rings me and says 'do you want to talk about this?' and nobody has rung me and said 'do you want to talk about this?'
"But I don't believe anyone has been called. Yet."
Meanwhile, Tubridy has had plenty of tongues wagging after he had a very busy week in the UK meeting with several radio stations.
The former Late Late Show presenter was pictured with controversial presenter Piers Morgan and dropped in to Virgin Radio and joined Chris Evans on air where they teased listeners about whether he would join the station.
Tubridy played up to the gossip and interest with an Instagram story showing him on an escalator in London with the caption: "This situation has escalated! But it's time to go home. For now."
