Desire lines: A stylish robe for seasonal sea swimmers
Check out this weeks highlights from the Weekend team

Inspired by Killeagh’s historic village fete, in what is now the community-owned Glenbower Wood by the River Dissour, a programme of free events includes live music, storytelling through yoga, fun with fairytales and sensory play in nature, a scavenger hunt and den building for families (and adults-only too), and for the grown-ups, willow weaving, woodland foraging and a dawn chorus singing walk. This modern celebration of Bealtaine concludes on Sunday May 4, with a foraging walk and litter-pick to leave the woods as pristine as you found them.

No better time for Tirlán CountryLife to be rolling out a series of free in-store events nationwide, designed to help gardeners of all levels make the most of their outdoor spaces.
Teaming up with gardener Diarmuid Gavin and local horticulturists, the sessions will cover everything from plant know-how to lawn care and small-space gardening.
All dates listed on their website.

Produced by Eddie Shanahan, the show will feature collections from 30 Irish designers, spanning everything from heritage tweeds and linens to contemporary occasionwear, leisure pieces and accessories. Expect names like Urban Aran, Caroline Duffy, Kindred of Ireland and Magee 1866 on the catwalk, and prepare for the standout moment when the ARC Angels — women who have experienced cancer — take to the runway. Tickets are priced at €70, with all proceeds supporting ARC’s free services for those affected by cancer.
