Annmarie O'Connor: How I would add a pop of 'Brat green' to my wardrobe

How to wear 'Brat green'
Bye-bye, Barbiecore pink. Hello, Brat green. Just when you thought it was safe to remove your rose-coloured glasses, the Pantone gods serve us another TikTok-approved hue, courtesy of singer-songwriter Charli XCX.
Inspired by the cover art of her sixth studio album, Brat; the off-beat shade of lime green is more than a trend; it’s a rebellious antidote to the Internet’s ‘girlie’ aesthetics. What’s more, the colourway has now been co-opted by @KamalaHQ—the Kamala Harris X/Twitter campaign page—after Charli endorsed Ms Harris as ‘brat’ in a viral tweet.
Giving brat energy is easily done, thanks to a host of lime green goodies doing the fashion rounds. Colour enthusiasts Essentiel Antwerp provide a democratic starting point, elevating flatter neutrals like khaki and reimagining animal print.
Brazilian brand Farm Rio, similarly, uses the divisive shade to create visual tension across their signature dress edit, whether worn with biker boots, sneakers or heels. Speaking of footwear, don’t miss the Michael Kors sale online: those ‘Elena’ sandals guarantee ‘best dressed wedding guest’ status.
As for Charli XCX fans: be sure to hit up resale sites like Depop and eBay for Y2K club essentials like Von Dutch caps and Adidas windbreakers. Etsy.com is also a find for Brat-inspired jewellery by independent makers.

Meanwhile, I’m dusting off my 2013 lime green Pied A Terre mála. Tory Burch may be getting social media shine for her brat-coloured bags, but I’ll be sticking with mine. She’s seen a lot.
Honestly, if that brat could talk…
