Ash’s tour bus ‘battered with bricks’ while travelling through Calais

Northern Irish band Ash, have been subject to attack while their tour bus was travelling past a refugee camp in Calais in France.

The band’s frontman Tim Wheeler broke the news on Instagram, along with a picture of their bus driver’s shattered window.

“An eventful 24 hours continued with us getting our bus battered with bricks running the gauntlet at Calais,” he captioned the picture.

“Paul our driver took a blow to the face and was pretty shaken but is ok.”

The Down native and his band played a gig in Paris on Tuesday night, and were travelling to the UK to perform at London’s O2 Shepherds Bush Empire tonight.
