YouTube family The Bratayleys continue to vlog after death of son
YouTube family The Bratayleys have uploaded their first vlog since the passing of their 13-year-old son Caleb on October 1.
The popular family make a living on YouTube from vlogging their daily lives and today’s vlog was entitled ‘Celebrating Life’.
“In this video, you will see some of our family and friends that came out in this difficult time,” they said in the description of the video.
“We have decided to continue making videos for now”.
In an emotional opening, Caleb’s father Billy said the family had a discussion about whether they would continue vlogging and decided that although they will continue to grieve over Caleb, they will not show it in the videos.
“I think the best way to honour Caleb is to do what these video were first intended to do, and that was to celebrate life,” he said.
“We don’t just want to be celebrating his life, we want to be able to celebrate the girls life and bring joy to people.
“That’s what we started this for”.
The family also took to Instagram to post this picture of Hayley and Annie Bratayley, along with the caption: “Good to see these girls smiling today. #onemomentatatime”.
Due to an outpour of support and grief from fans, the family live-streamed Caleb’s memorial ceremony on October 7.
