Bites from Electric Picnic - Day 2
So, my tent still hasn’t blown away, everything is still relatively dry and I’m utterly in love with my wellies.
A successful first night at Electric Picnic I think.
After an electrifying (excuse the pun) opening set from The Coronas, the atmosphere remained alight for the entire night.

And after a 40-minute wait for a well-deserved early morning coffee and breakfast roll, we begin day two.
Here are some of my highlights:
That early morning wake-up call.
Not a coffee lover? Or queuing first thing in the morning is not your thing?
We got ourselves to Body & Soul for some early morning brass and it laughed in the face of my morning caffeine efforts - now THAT’S a wake up call.

Strandtown Brass Band from Dublin absolutely killed it, and something tells me I’m going to have them as my alarm sound for the next two months at least.
2. Hammocks, hammocks and more hammocks.
Nothing says festival more than a hammock apparently, and why not?
Who doesn’t love a hammock?
Remind me why I don't have one of these in my house? #EP2015 pic.twitter.com/SGJGCEicP6

3. The Wishing Line.
While strolling around the main arena you pass art installation after art installation, so much so, that some even go unnoticed.

I’m so glad I stopped by ‘The Wishing Line’, as wishes such as “I wish my horse would stop running away” had me wishing I could go and shake everyone's hand.
4. This random piano
Impromptu sessions around this all day continued to make me smile.

5. The High Hopes Choir
The High Hopes Choir took to the Body and Soul Trailer park and absolutely rocked it.

For those not in the know, the choir is the culmination of Ireland’s first homeless choir led musically by David Brophy and features some of the most recognised charities in Ireland - including the Dublin Simon Community, Saint Vincent de Paul and Focus Ireland.
The crowd was electric and their energy egged the choir on even more.
You could tell they loved every second.
They even hijacked our Snapchat for a cheeky selfie.

6. So, between you and me, I may have walked up the aisle today.
And by aisle I mean, a two-foot rug inside a pink chapel come caravan - but it was utterly magical.

7. The special guest everyone was waiting for - The Sun.
Back by popular demand and it played an absolutely blinder today.

Here’s hoping it might return for another performance tomorrow - even if it is to even out those ‘farmer tans’.
8. Feeling fancy?
Why not take a moment to briefly forget that you ‘showered’ with baby wipes and brushed your teeth with bottled water this morning.

And what can be fancier than prosecco? I know, festival prosecco.
9. The 5 O’Clock dash
At approximately 4:30pm a sea of blue, green and red dashed through the Main Arena to the big screen just in time for the All-Ireland football semi final, Dublin V Mayo.

And for a second it took me out of the festival bubble and back to reality.
Nothing would stop fans from watching the nail-biting game - even hijacking the nearest chip van.

Last but not least, Glen Hansard
Just strolling passed the Salty Dog stage and who casually walks out?
No other than, Glen Hansard - SURPRISE!

Although I can’t lie, we did hear a rumour from our tent neighbours - festival friends!!
