Liam Neeson has sparked quite a stir after being photographed looking gaunt and completely unrecognizable in New York earlier this week.

Wearing a baseball cap and loose fitting t-shirt, the 63-year-old actor is a far cry from his badass Taken-character, Bryan Mills.

Don’t worry though fans, he’s fine and healthy; it’s all in aid of his next movie - Silence.

In the movie the Ballymena native plays Father Cristovao Ferreira, a Jesuit priest that faces persecution and violence as he travels to Asia to spread Christianity.
