Top acts to perform at this year’s Rose of Tralee

Is it that time of year again?

Acts such as Gavin James, Hudson Taylor, Stereokicks and Hometown, Sharon Shannon and Nathan Carter have been announced to perform at this year’s Rose of Tralee International Street Festival.

Irish boyband Hometown made their first live TV appearance during last year’s Rose of Tralee, and since then their debut single Where I Belong - penned by Irish chart toppers Kodaline - became the fastest-selling single from a debut artist.

And you might remember Stereokicks from a little show called the X-Factor?

“Boybands, hold a special place in the memories Rose of Tralee International Festival-goers with the likes of Westlife and Boyzone starting their careers in Tralee,” Festival Street Carnival Coordinator, Bryan Carr has said.

But from Hometown to Stereokicks, it’s not just boybands that will be taking to the stage.

Ed Sheeran’s Croke Park supporting act Gavin James, and Irish-duo Hudson Taylor will both perform on Sunday August 16.

And what’s a festival without Nathan Carter, The Kilfenora Céilí Band and Sharon Shannon?

This year The Rose of Tralee are offereing a Full Access Street Ticket (F.A.S.T.) for €25, this allows you to see all eight acts and will go on sale this Friday, April 24.
