Van Morrison is coming to Dublin
Van Morrison has announced a Dublin date.
The legendary singer will play the 3Arena, Friday November 20 as part of his 70th birthday celebrations.
The date will also mark his first date in the capital since his sold out Dublin show at The O2 three years ago.
Can’t wait till then?
Morrison is also playing Live at the Marquee in Cork, July 9.
He has already been inducted in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and possesses honorary doctorates from Queen’s University Belfast and the University of Ulster, as well as entry into the French Ordres Des Artes Et Des Lettres.
Morrison's current album Duets: Re-working The Catalogue features vocal collaborations with everyone from Michael Bublé to Joss Stone, but the singer decided not to revisit any classic hits.
Instead, he decided to re-release the lesser-known hits from his catalog, including "These Are the Days" from 1989's Avalon Sunset, "Born to Sing" from 2012's No Plan B and "Streets of Arklow" from 1974's Veedon Fleece.
Tickets are on sale this Friday, 27 March, at 9am from all usual outlets.
