When American news source, US Weekly reported that Lady Gaga mistook Ed Sheeran for a waiter at last night's Grammys, more than a few eyebrows were raised.
The popular magazine featured this tweet from the Thinking Out Loud singer, which has since been deleted:
Doesn’t sound like Ed, does it?
Wait, who’s @edsheer?
Needless to say, Gaga's monsters were out in force to rectified the mistake.
@usweekly get your facts straight! That's a fake/parody Twitter account! Lol. The real Ed Sheeran did not tweet that.— Karen (@caligrlinoz) February 9, 2015
Keep seeing this fake Ed Sheeran tweet as if it doesn't say "Ed SheerSan" instead of @edsheeran— ʟᴇɢᴇʀᴅᴇᴍᴀɪɴ (@LGVII) February 9, 2015
Yall retweeting that fake ass Ed Sheeran tweet. Relax.— Kate (@katefacekilla) February 9, 2015
So don’t worry, Gaga is still a big fan of the red-haired singer as well as the man of the moment, Sam Smith and was thrilled to see him scoop up four Sammies, sorry we mean Grammies last night.
I'm so proud of my darling SAM SMITH for all his wins tonight! You deserve everything and more because you are YOU. I was honored to watch!— Lady Gaga (@ladygaga) February 9, 2015
Gaga herself picked up the prize for Traditional Pop Vocal Album for Cheek to Cheek, her collaboration with jazz veteran Tony Bennett - who she also performed with.
And it turns out she was surprisingly stunned take home to prestigious prize.
I can't believe it WOW this is my 6th Grammy!! I could never do this without amazing fans, always stay true to yourself I love you so much!— Lady Gaga (@ladygaga) February 8, 2015
