Winkleman misses Strictly again

Presenter Claudia Winkleman was again absent from Strictly Come Dancing tonight after her daughter’s fire accident, as co-host Tess Daly wished the youngster a “speedy recovery”.

Winkleman’s eight-year-old daughter Matilda is recovering in hospital after her Halloween costume went up in flames while she was out trick-or-treating.

At the start of tonight’s BBC One show, Daly said: “Claudia can’t be with us again this week.

“All our thoughts go out to her and her daughter and we’re wishing her a speedy recovery.”

Former Radio 1 DJ Zoe Ball, who normally hosts Strictly: It Takes Two, has replaced Winkleman, 45, on the show for a second week running.
