Research reveals the growing powers of Cole singing
Plants which listen to Cheryl Cole's singing grow quicker, according to new research by horticultural expert Chris Bonnett.
TV shows and celebrities from Newcastle - such as the 'Call My Name' hitmaker's music, the reality TV show 'Geordie Shore' and presenting duo Ant and Dec – have helped shrubs to grow up to 10% quicker than other plants tested.
Chris split the plants into separate groups and made one set watch reality show 'The Only Way is Essex' and listen to Blur and Depeche Mode.
Another group had to watch reality show 'Made in Chelsea' - based in the affluent London area - and those plants listened to songs by privately educated pop stars such as Florence Welch.
He explained: "After just a few weeks we started to see differences emerging with the Geordie and Welsh groups shooting up while the Chelsea and Mancunian plants seemed to particularly struggle."
