Dwarf film role for Oldman

Gary Oldman is set to star as a dwarf in his next movie.

Kate Beckinsale and Matthew McConaughey are also in negotiations to star in Tiptoes.

The movie will be directed by Matthew Bright and starts shooting later this month in Los Angeles, according to www.hollywoodreporter.com.

Tiptoes tells the story of a young woman (Beckinsale) who discovers she is pregnant only to learn that her boyfriend (McConaughey) does not want her to have the baby.

He fears it will be a dwarf like his twin brother Rolfe - played by 44-year-old Oldman - whom Beckinsale's character eventually falls in love with.

Patricia Arquette is also due to appear in the film.
