Yesterday the John Lewis Christmas ad for 2016 was released and this year’s creative contribution from the retail giant is a humourous spectacle complete with cuddly animals and an adorable young child.

Of course it just took a day for the whole thing to be ’irish-ised’.

Rob Grimes, a man from Waterford has reimagined the idylic scenario as it would realistically take place in Ireland and it is fairly true to life.
