VIDEO The Lion King trailer gets a modern makeover

Amateur video editor, Ryan Shukis, put his skills to the test and it seems to be paying off.

The editor gave an old Disney favourite a whole new look and sound in this new trailer for the 1994 Disney hit.

With no Hakuna Matata to be heard the movie now looks like an emotionally thrilling action adventure.

If you're wondering where you know that music from, Shukis replaced Elton Johns tones for the Peter Pan score.

"Just an unemployed video editor here praying someday I'll be video editing trailers," he wrote on his YouTube channel.

We're pretty sure this will get him noticed; it already has over 75,000 views!
