Father makes Iron Man costume for sick baby son to "help him feel brave".

Baby Collier was born prematurely back in July and has been in the neonatal unit of the hospital ever since so his dad Eric Hart wanted to do something special for his first Hallowe’en. 

Eric is a prop designer so he decided to make a costume - which he only wore for a minute - to help Collier hold onto his courage.

In the video, Hart explains why he chose Iron Man:

"Our son has spent his entire life in the hospital. For his first Halloween, he needed a costume that would help him feel brave. Why not Iron Man?"

The family are not sure when Collier will be able to go home but Eric and his wife wanted to make sure he doesn't miss out on anything just because he's in hospital.

“There are a lot of times when the baby is sedated, and you can’t interact, so this is something we could actually do and say, ‘We may not be normal right now but this is our new normal,’” Eric told Today.com.

“Even though we’re in the hospital, we’re trying to do everything that a regular family would do and celebrate all the holidays.”
