Elle, Prime Video, July 1: The iconic role immortalised by Reese Witherspoon in Legally Blonde is Lexi Minetree’s mantle to take up in this life-affirming prequel series that picks up in 1995 with Elle Woods navigating friendship, romance, fashion and the tumultuous waters of high school.

Silo S3, Apple TV, July 3: Apple TV’s hot sci-fi streak continues with a gripping new chapter of Silo. The new season, which many are calling the show’s finest yet, splits its narrative between the aftermath of the underground rebellion and a journey into the past revealing the origins of the silo itself. Rebecca Ferguson is back to anchor the series with another commanding performance.

Museum of Me (Series Finale), RTÉ One, July 5, 8.30pm: In the final episode of Museum of Me, one of Ireland's legendary comedians, Pat Shortt, empties a lifetime's worth of treasured keepsakes on host Dermot Whelan to curate a special, one-night-only exhibition of his personal history and poignantly close out the popular series.

Little House on the Prairie, Netflix, July 9: The Ingalls return to that famous little house in Plum Creek for this fresh reimagining of the iconic television show that won millions of hearts in the 70s and 80s. Luke Bracey and Crosby Fitzgerald fill the roles of Pa and Ma, as they explore the harsh realities of 19th-century frontier life alongside daughters Mary and Laura. Have the tissue box on hand.

Ann Droid, BBC One, July 11: Diane Morgan stars in and writes this charming new British comedy series that follows widow Sue and her new android assistant robot (Morgan). The overly attentive, socially inept robot is Sue's worst nightmare, proving more exasperating than helpful. It’s heartfelt and chortle-worthy in equal measure.

Lucky, Apple TV, July 15: On the run following a botched heist, con artist Luciana ‘Lucky’ Armstrong, played by the always engaging Anya Taylor-Joy, finds herself the target of the FBI and a ruthless crime boss. A slick, high-stakes thriller rounded out by a phenomenal cast including Timothy Olyphant, Annette Bening, William Fichtner and Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor.

With his reputation in tatters can ‘The Hawk’ reaffirm his greatness and win on the big stage once more?

Heartstopper Forever, Netflix, July 17 (movie): After three acclaimed seasons, Nick and Charlie’s story reaches its next chapter in Netflix’s feature length continuation. The lovebirds have settled into life as a couple but more challenges await them with Nick preparing to leave for University and Charlie tackling new responsibilities at school. Fans of the show will want to tune in.

72 Hours, Netflix, July 24 (movie): Kevin Hart stars in a typically high-energy comedy as a struggling executive who takes advantage of an opportunity to revive his career when he winds up at a wild bachelor party. The supporting cast includes Teyana Taylor, SNL’s Marcello Hernandez and Severance alum Zach Cherry.

Furious, Disney+, July 27: Kicking off with a three-episode premiere, Furious follows FBI agent Alice Black (Emmy Rossum) as she pursues a cunning serial killer whose modus operandi is marrying wealthy men for their fortune then killing them off in gruesome fashion. The cat-and-mouse drama also stars Belfast’s own Lola Petticrew.
