Michelle Williams plays Molly, who decides to leave her husband of 15 years and indulge her various sexual desires while she still can. Jenny Slate, Sissy Spacek, and Rob Delaney also star.

Book festival: Cúirt International Festival of Literature

One of the biggest litfests in the country, Galway’s Cúirt celebrates 40 years in 2025 with a programme filled with star names. Sally Rooney and Paul Muldoon are in conversation at the Town Hall on Tuesday, while the Normal People author talks to John Patrick McHugh about his forthcoming debut novel Fun and Games the following night.

More than 420 events take place in Cork as part of the 20th Lifelong Learning Festival. From exhibitions to walking tours to learning how to play card games, there’s something for everyone. All events are free. The festival’s motto: 'Investigate, Participate and Celebrate'.

Concert: Kamasi Washington 

Cork Opera House, Wednesday, April 9 

Rescheduled from the Guinness Cork Jazz Festival, jazz pioneer Kamasi Washington brings his all-enveloping sound to the Opera House on Wednesday. Having worked with Kendrick Lamar, Florence + the Machine, and Herbie Hancock, he’ll be showcasing tracks from his 2024 album Fearless Movement. Make sure to get there early for support act Emma-Jean Thackray.
