Dáil interrupted by musical Christmas tie

Because of course it was.

Sinn Fein's Aengus Ó Snodaigh was interrupted in the Dáil today by his own fashion choices.

That's right folks, Ó Snodaigh donned a musical Christmas tie this morning and it interrupted him as he was speaking about asbestos.

Everyone else in the chamber appeared confused as they tried to figure out what polyphonic tune was playing.

In case you're wondering, it's playing 'We Wish You A Merry Christmas'.

Comedy gold once again from the Dáil.

It appears Ó Snodaigh may have fallen out of love with the tie after the incident, as TD Jim Daly says he is now the proud owner.
