Crying cow had no idea where she was going

Little did she know, she was going to her forever-home.

A cow in Germany was caught crying on video as she was put into a trailer to be transported.

She had been raised for meat and never had a chance to live or socialise with a herd.

The cow, Emma, was adopted by the Kuhrettung Rhein-Berg sanctuary.

"The association's goal is to create a sanctuary, so they may continue living in their familiar surroundings, under best animal welfare conditions, hopefully until the natural end of their lives."

When released she seems excited to meet the other members of the sanctuary, even if they come on a little too strong at first.

There's no question that she was terrified before, even neuroscientists have said that animals experience a wide array of emotions, but now she is safe.
